2024 Labor Day Fiesta and Open House
Over 50 members attended the Annual Labor Day Fiesta and Open House. Sandwiches, desserts and soft drinks were provided. Everyone had the opportunity to inspect the new community building. Entertainment was provided by The Wynne Jammers Band. David Solis provided 20 minutes of music variations on his guitar, followed by Leo Vazquez who led a sing along. President Alvarez offered his thanks to the committee headed by Janie Ponce that oversaw the construction of the new building.
Thanks to everyone who contributed their time and effort to make this Fiesta a big success!

What is Neighborhood Watch?
The Mission Manor Neighborhood Watch Program is an approved activity within the Association.
The Committee is headed by a chairperson who is appointed by the Board of Directors and serves until resignation or termination by the Board. Members of the Committee are appointed by the chairperson who will keep the board informed of the membership. Whenever the chairperson position becomes vacant the Board will seek the advice of the remaining members of the Watch Committee and when possible appoint the person recommended.
The Neighborhood Watch Committee holds regular meetings and operates within the guidelines of the National Neighborhood Watch Program sponsored by the National Sheriff’s Association of the United States and any lawful directives of the Mission Manor Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors appoints a Director to serve as the Board’s “contact person” to coordinate with the Neighborhood Watch Committee. This Director presents matters of interest and/or concern to the Board on behalf of the Committee, but is not required to be an active participant of the Committee.
The Neighborhood Watch Program is defined as a group of Mission Manor residents who have a common goal of keeping our community safe by observation ONLY, informing our local law enforcement of any unusual or unexplained activity. The Mission Manor Neighborhood Watch program is NOT an arm of law enforcement and is NOT empowered by the Association or by local law enforcement to take any direct action, regardless of the circumstances. The Mission Manor Neighborhood Watch program is specifically limited by the Board of Directors to observation and notification ONLY.
Because of the open nature of the overall community , it has been determined that it is in the best interest of our Mission Manor Homeowners Association Phase II membership to include like-minded residents of Phase I in the Neighborhood Watch Program. This is one of the only circumstances when individuals residing outside the Association (Phase II) may have membership in an Association program.
The Neighborhood Watch Committee has also been designated a participant in the Well-being Program of the Mission Manor Homeowners Association. Its members will assist the Board of Directors with periodic welfare checks on those in the community who live alone and/or have disabilities or infirmities that may require the assistance of others and make reports to the Board of Directors as to whatever action may be needed.
